My first encounter with a cakepop was December 2010. My friend was selling it as a Christmas giveaway. I fell in love with it and ordered a dozen to give to Igi's Kindergarten teacher as a Christmas gift. I asked her casually how she makes it and she made the biggest mistake by telling me it's a "secret". Ha! Didn't she realize everything is available on the web? So I did my research and so many sites came up but the number 1 site was of Bakerella's.
And after reading articles of different ladies who started making it, I realized it wasn't hard to make at all so I did a little more research for an easy recipe and decided to make my very own cake pops. My first was the no-bake oreo cakepops from this site.

I also purchased the cupcake mold.

Here's my first set of cake pops shaped into cupcakes. This is my birthday gift to two of my BFFs during the birthday dinner. Just don't mind the cheez it box. It was late before I realized I needed a styrofoam to hold the cake pops. I had to improvise - found and used the cheez it box and then filled it with uncooked rice. =)

My BFFs loved it.
I guess I found a new hobby.
